Rebate & Loan Programs
General Information

A variety of loan and rebate programs are available through various utility providers. Generally, the public utility will offer these programs to encourage end users to improve the efficiency of their homes or businesses.

Programs may also be offered to persons with disabilities, elderly persons, and low income persons.

Rebates generally reimburse a customer for a portion of the cost involved in upgrading the efficiency of their mechanical system. For example, Austin Energy customers may qualify for a rebate of up to 20% on efficient improvements.

Loan programs are generally low interest loans available to pay up to 100% of the cost of qualifying improvements.

Programs may be available for:

• Whole house efficiency
• Total home efficiency
• Weatherization
• Insulation
